This little Venonat plush is actually really special to me, because it used to belong to my late cat, Sera. I wouldn’t normally buy a collectable video game plush for my cat to use as a cat toy, but Sera loved Venonat. She used to watch me play Pokémon GO in bed in the morning on my days off, and there was a time fairly early on where Venonats would always be around my apartment. And if I was playing with my phone on the bed, and she saw one when I was trying to catch it, she would get really excited and try swiping at the screen to get it. If I had enough pokéballs to waste, I’d just let her paw at it until she got bored, because she was having fun, and it amused me. One time, she actually somehow managed to catch one. After that, I was so impressed that I went looking for a real-life Venonat plush for her, and the Sitting Cuties plush was the perfect size for her to play with.

Sera passed away in 2022 after fighting thyroid cancer for a couple of years, and I miss her so, so much. But whenever I see this plush, it makes me think of that memory of her and smile. ❤️
