ThinkGeek – Super Mario Odyssey – Mario Plush with Hats

ThinkGeek made some pretty fun items with the Mario license in the 2010s (I’m still using my ThinkGeek Super Mario Bros. shower curtain and ceramic soap dispenser and my Chain Chomp lamp), but I think this was their only Mario plush toy. And sadly, this plush’s run was likely cut short due to the unfortunate timing of it releasing around when GameStop shut down the ThinkGeek.com website and slowly started phasing out their ThinkGeek product sections, making it fairly hard to find. I’m not sure if this plush ever got a chance to hit the website at all, and the only time I ever saw it in a GameStop was the day I bought this one, which I just happened to noticed while stopping in to pick up an amiibo preorder on 2/15/2019.

This might be the smallest Mario plush to hit the removable hat club (which also includes San-ei’s large Mario Odyssey plushes, the 2024 Japanese Nintendo Store exclusive Mario plush in a pipe, and the OG 1989 Applause plush with a removable hat), and the only one to come with multiple interchangeable hats.
