A new Bubsy plush announcement in 2025 was not on most people’s bingo card, let alone two. In August 2025, Limited Run Games announced a Bubsy plush and t-shirt to coincide with preorders for Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection. The plush went up for preorder on August 15, 2025 and was originally advertised to be available until October 12th, however, it was only available for a week before completely disappearing from the website (along with the t-shirt) with no explanation given. During this time, the Youtooz Bubsy plush had been announced and was set to go up for preorder on August 26th, leading many to speculate that this was related to the abrupt disappearance of the Limited Run plush. Despite this, however, Limited Run promised to fulfill preorders placed before the plush was removed from the site, and as you can see here, they delivered on that promise, and the plush was finally delivered to those who had managed to secure a preorder ten months later.

Personally, I’m extremely grateful to have been able to grab one of these, as Symbiote Studio created a truly excellent, high-quality plush here. I also love that despite the similar timing, the Limited Run and Youtooz plushes each go for a completely different style, making both a fantastic addition to any Bubsy collection.
